If you hadn’t heard the news this week,
Brown Harris Stevens (BHS) acquired Christie’s International Real Estate brokerage in NYC, which further amplifies the prestige of the BHS brand with a larger, stronger and, talented workforce making it the premier independent brokerage firm in NYC. This acquisition translates into significantly greater brain trust and experience in the luxury market for BHS—as both our firms are similarly aligned—along with expanded international reach.
In a statement, Christie’s International co-CEO Thad Wong accurately characterized the BHS brand and how it’s perceived … “I’ve always had an admiration for Brown Harris Stevens, and their brand is iconic in the city of New York.”
This was a smart move for BHS, whose focus is “white glove” service, as it only strengthens its foundation to better serve our clients. Unlike other big name NYC brokerage firms that are going public and shifting focus onto their shareholders; BHS places its undivided attention on its clients, ensuring they have access to the best of the best.
As a 150-year old real estate firm, BHS also recognizes that in order to remain successful, it must adapt to an ever changing world. With a progressive CEO like Bess Freedman at the helm and the support of an innovative marketing team, BHS understands the value and power of staying on top of the most current marketing trends and utilizing the most effective methodologies and tools in a technology driven world.
In fact,
our firm just enlisted Madison Sutton, a TikTok phenomenon, to develop workshops for our agents as a way to help expand upon our multi-channel marketing approach for selling homes in this digital age. Popular with Gen-Z, TikTok is an untapped channel that can certainly add value to BHS’s ever-evolving marketing strategies, enabling us to offer our clients a comprehensive approach with even greater reach.
I’m personally excited about this recent acquisition and the strides BHS continues to make in positioning us as one of the leading and innovative real estate firms in the country, so that we can better serve our valued clients.
